Working together on one main topic, you may be surprised by other secondary themes that inevitably arise along the way — bringing even more richness and depth of knowledge to the pair. Seeing your mentee reinvent themselves and learn is a transformative experience for both.
It’s also worth noting that a mentor doesn’t always have all the answers to offer their mentee. However, their commitment to seeking information or finding the right resources or referrals is an essential part of their role within the mentorship process.
But what does it mean to be a mentor?
Like a lighthouse guiding a ship in open waters, the mentor is the one who lights the mentee’s path — sharing the knowledge and experience gained throughout life and career. They guide, inspire, and teach, helping the mentee overcome challenges and navigate more confidently toward their goals.
